Food product specifications - Seminar

22 October 2009

Please contact our training department for further information.

Why attend

Putting together Food Specifications has always been a tough task. It´s an in-depth process requiring time and attention - pulling together the recipes at the development stage, making copious notes, and then transcribing them into various formats ready for meeting with a printer at another date. There´s the long wait whilst art work is debated (even though you don´t actually need to sell its design) and then, a week or so later, another meeting to discuss samples. Then it may be returned to you with comments that some of the information is missing. It´s a long, gruelling, drawn-out process!

What is a good specification, what does the industry require, what information satisfies retailers, how far do you go with sharing information, what problems do you encounter and what do you need to make it work?

Attending the seminar will benefit technical services managers, specification writers, food technologists, technical officers, quality assurance managers, process/product development managers, packaging technologists, procurement managers, buyers, food safety auditors, inspectors and everyone who is interested in the product information layout

Seminar content

"Specification writing is like preparing dinner over and over again for all the family members that come home hungry at different times with different food intolerances... you need to add the bread for one, but take it out for the other one."
